Teacher Training

Since 2018, the Arthur Waser Foundation has been engaged in West and East Africa in teachers training, the key lever for educational quality. In Ghana and Tanzania, teacher training centres for renewable energy are being run under the leadership of Salesian provinces. In Accra, the capital of Ghana, teachers from seven West African countries are now being trained in solar technology, and in Dodoma, the capital of Tanzania, a similar centre is being established for the technical and pedagogical training of teachers according to the latest standards.

In cooperation with the private sector, the national authorities and various academic and civil society institutions from Ghana and Europe, the constant development of training and further education programs is being ensured. At the same time, synergies in infrastructure, operational procedures and capacities are used for regular student training.
